National Hive Deep Roof
The is made of high-quality polystyrene, combining lightness, durability, and resistance to weather conditions. The material provides top-class thermal insulation, and its exceptionally low weight makes transport easy. Additionally, the dimensions of the element allow a ceiling feeder to be placed underneath it.
Ventilation openings are located directly under the slope of the roof—one on each side. These openings are fitted with steel mesh, which prevents insects from entering while allowing proper airflow.
Appropriate indentations in the side walls provide a good grip, making it more convenient to handle and carry.
Thanks to the rounded corners, the roof is more resistant to accidental impacts and poses no risk to its surroundings.
The edge extending beyond the hive body ensures that water does not enter the ventilation holes, even in strong wind. It also makes it easier to secure the hive with a transport strap.
The four-sided sloped top of the roof is reinforced with a layer of plastic, providing resistance to all weather conditions as well as accidental transport impacts. The lower edges of the element feature an embedded polymer frame, which gives the structure rigidity, protects against damage, and ensures a perfect fit with the component beneath the roof.
